The Sun: Experience the moment

My thoughts in my recent column really has been on my mind for the past few years. Do we measure life or do we live it?

This led me to reflect on the culture of society today. Everything is measurable and everything is practically instantly gratified. The funny thing is life is meant to be lived, just like this particular yoga pose is meant to be experienced.

So does one achieve a KPI if one manages to “conquer” the pose? And what happens when that pose is “conquered”? Will a medal be awarded? Or is it just to take a photo to put on Instagram for a “hey, look at me” moment? After that, what next?

I wonder about things in life, which are meant to be qualitative and therefore less measurable than what we are used to.
