Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have been really busy with work, and also serving down at the shelter for girls from troubled homes, and its twin shelter for trafficked kids. Here’s a little something about a recent experience:
I think I must have stood there awhile as my brain tried to grasp that this child was married. Of course, one reads about child brides in newspapers and of how some 50-year-old man married an eight-year-old girl.
These examples, although real, were never right before my eyes. Just a minute ago, she was playing dodge ball, the next minute, her identity changes in my mind from child to wife.
