The moment I realised that my yoga practice was just one piece of a larger energy puzzle, everything changed. As a wellness practitioner, my journey has taken me from being primarily yoga-focused to embracing a more comprehensive approach to energy work – one that incorporates Reiki, tarot, and fitness in ways I never initially imagined.

Understanding Energy: More Than Just a Buzzword.
When we talk about energy in wellness circles, we are often met with scepticism.
However, energy is far from being just a new-age concept. In physics, energy is defined as the capacity to do work – it’s a measurable, quantifiable force that drives every action and reaction in our universe.
From the cellular activities in our bodies to the largest cosmic events, energy is the underlying force that makes everything possible.
The Scientific Backbone of Energy Work.
Modern science is beginning to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary understanding. For instance, Reiki is recognised by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health as a legitimate complementary therapy, acknowledging its role in supporting overall wellness.
Many practitioners and clients report experiencing tangible benefits in their physical and mental well-being through these practices.
The Interconnected Nature of Different Modalities.
What makes my approach unique is the recognition that all these practices – yoga, Reiki, tarot, and fitness – are different expressions of energy work:
- Yoga harmonises physical and subtle body energy through movement and breath
- Reiki channels universal life force energy for healing
- Tarot works with psychological and intuitive energy for guidance
- Fitness optimises our body’s natural energy systems through conscious movement
Breaking Down the ‘Woo-Woo’ Barrier.
One of the biggest challenges in energy work is overcoming the perception that it is purely esoteric or unscientific.
However, as more research emerges and institutions like healthcare systems begin to incorporate these modalities, we’re seeing a shift in understanding.
The effects of energy work are tangible – from improved sleep patterns to reduced stress levels and enhanced physical recovery.
Moving Forward: A Holistic Approach.
As I continue to evolve my practice, I’m excited to offer a more integrated approach to energy work. This means:
- Combining different modalities for personalised healing experiences
- Education about the scientific principles behind energy work
- Practical applications for daily energy management
- Community support for sustainable wellness practices
The future of wellness lies not in separating these practices but in understanding their interconnectedness.
Whether you are seeking physical healing, emotional balance, or spiritual growth, energy work offers a comprehensive pathway to well-being.
